 need your thoughts I am bombarded with solicitors at home at least 2-3 times a week. I AM SO SICK OF IT! You have no idea! I've just been ignoring them, but today this guy rang my bell 4 times! Get the hint buddy! I'm not answering! So I thought of putting a little sign by my door bell that says... We will no longer be opening our door to strangers. Please do not attempt any solicitation or conversation. <--(  for the Jehovah's ) Thank you. I know it sounds harsh  but do you think it's a good idea? What are your thoughts when you read that? I don't like to be bitchy... but drastic times calls for drastic measures!

Re: need your thoughts do it. that's nutty! hardly ever do we get bothered out here in the sticks... and when we do, the dog actually barks! she's not a barker. she talks to us, but barking, not so much... except when strangers knock or ring the doorbell!

Re: need your thoughts it's perfect. I made mine from wood since someone, probably the cleaners kept taking down my laminated ones. this one is attached more firmly. havent had anyone buzz since.

Re: need your thoughts I totally think it is ok. I don't think that you should be bothered in your own home if you don't want to be! I find that incredibly annoying myself.
And if they have the nerve to knock after you place the sign - I would make a point to answer the door and point out to them that you asked them nicely not to bother you and now they are trespassing!
