i heard. this is so unreal. that's my snow. instead we are just getting cold cold and more cold.

we are on the border of 6-12 so we'll probably only get about 3-6. donna!!!

My thoughts exactly...no more snow. They have not even plowed our street. We are up to our knees in snow.

We lost power and telephone service for 24 hours. Fortunately, we lost telephone service after the lights/heat went out so we were able to call a friend with an SUV and power to rescue us. We spent two nights there - I couldn't imagine staying at home with Miles in the cold with no way to cook dinner! Our power was just restored and we returned to a warm house a few hours ago. It is nice to be home again, and home with everything functioning again!! They took us grocery shopping too, as most of the stuff in the freezer had spoiled.

That's our normal too Sharlene. My Dad lives in the middle of the Snowbelt here (about half an hour east of my house) and he regularly gets about a foot for every 4-6 inches I get at my house. I was just telling Janelle this morning about how at the beginning of January my little sis and I went to his house about an hour after he plow his driveway with his massive tractor and plow. We still couldn't make it halfway up the driveway because it had snowed so much after he plowed.

i know those days too well Leslie. I must say it is interesting to see how others react to this kind of weather.

BTW, having a fondue pot and fuel is one way to make sure you can have some hot food in a power outage. Can't always escape to someone else's house. You can warm up soup, oatmeal, and water.
