 my DH drives me CRAZY! And NOT in a good way.
So he started ripping my bathroom apart last winter. Never finished tearing it apart, started this winter when I was sick demo'ing it. It's down to the studs. new window on order, bathtub bought, countertop bought, vanity on order at the amish guy down the road, lights bought etc. And he's not exactly bob vila so this could take a while.
Rewind to last March, tore down wallpaper in living room and realized they butchered the doorway into the dinning room, needs redrywalled in one spot but can't do it withouth re-doing the doorway (of a load bearing wall, so needs some reworking). never touched it.
CALLS ME AT WORK TODAY. There's a guy coming to look at tearing out the load bearing wall. Um....hello....can we finish ONE PROJECT AT A TIME PLEASE!!!!!!

Re: my DH drives me CRAZY! well the guy will be here today sometime...he's laid off from his real job so he has time. for $150 he's going to just widen the opening another 3 feet, reframe the doorway, and re-drywall above. Should be done by the end of the week THANK GOD!!!

Re: my DH drives me CRAZY! Yeah. Chris is going to do the 2nd part of my bathroom soon. Replace the shower surround, take out the junky WINDOW in my shower, and replace with glass blocks.
But I told him - DO NOT START UNTIL YOU'RE SURE YOU HAVE TIME TO FINISH.
DaSchnauz without a shower is NOT a nice person.

Re: my DH drives me CRAZY! well it's done! the wall opening that is. and he cleaned up both days after himself. I just have to stain the trim boards for the woodwork and put that up and it's done. he did an AWESOME job! We are having him come back to tile the shower wall.
